Christian Johnson, Founder & Executive Director
From the mountains of Afghanistan to the streets of St. Louis, Mo, Christian has always been dedicated to service. At the young age of 17, he enlisted in the US Army National Guard, and 2 years later was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon returning home, he became involved in many community outreach programs that involved inner city youth and cancer awareness.
In 2013 Christian joined the ranks of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department with the same hopes and dreams of making a difference in the community. In the wake of the Michael Brown shooting, he launched a nonprofit organization called Serving with the Badge with the sole purpose of healing the relationship between police and community. Since leaving the Department to run Serving with the Badge full time, he has been nominated for several awards including being the recipient of the 2016 St. Louis Business Journal 30 Under 30 Award.
